Essentially there are strong(er) employee and caller/callee rights in the country and region. It is a common business practice for a call/meeting starting with someone asking if everyone on the call is happy with the call being recorded, and then “clicking record”. In more traditional contact centre and telephony scenarios, this could be controlled with an IVR system. There are also requirements to pause/resume the recording, or stop recording, these vary but could be for reasons like PCI/Card details, or maybe a personal call, or maybe the employee meeting is now going to discuss union/workers council business.
